Three Weeks - Turn to Face the Change 21/08/2005
Rick is a radio presenter whose chat show includes a man sexually
intimidated by a cat. His style changes dramatically when he meets Lisa, an
erotic fiction writer, on a blind date. The romantic comedy also has a
generational edge involving Rick's father and Lisa's mother Dorothy. This is
generally a light hearted, watchable show, but it can be a bit trite and is
sometimes left hanging in the air. The dialogue may seem stilted but the
daughter-mother-flatmate relationship was particularly funny, and there were
some decent performances. The show also has a lush setting in the caverns of
C electric - just don't expect anything too deep or unpredictable.

St Albans Observer - An Ideal Husband Review 25/02/2004
"Amateur Theatre group Act 2's production contained all the propriety of Victorian society coupled with
the dry satiric humour necessary to critique it." |
The Welwyn & Hatfield Times - Popcorn Review 25/02/2004
"Hatfield-based Act2 Productions skilfully enacted Ben Elton's novel, clearly conveying the author's warning that society fails to take responsibility for violence." |
